Hi, I’m Kate👋#
My name is Kate Fowler and I’m an Azure Engineer with a background in Cyber Security. I currently work in cloud engineering, with several years of experience across security, vulnerability management, and cloud platforms.
Over time, I’ve moved from more security-focused roles into hands-on cloud engineering, where I get to combine security, infrastructure, and automation rather than treating them as separate concerns.
Outside of work, I like staying active through sports, especially weightlifting and surfing 🏋♀️. I’m passionate about travel and would love to work and live abroad in the future 🌴. I also enjoy learning new languages and am currently learning Spanish 🇪🇸.

- Delivered a talk on Common Azure misconfigurations , real-world attacks, and mitigations at the Women in Cybersecurity meetup.
- Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security - joined a cross-sector UK leadership programme for women in cyber, where I met many peers, worked as part of a team on a research project, and presented a talk on retaining women in cybersecurity at our graduation event.
